Mr. Russell is thrilled to be part of the Malvern community and brings immense joy to connecting with families and contributing to the growth and development of their children.

Mr. Russell firmly believes that every child is special and unique, deserving of the same respect one would extend to an honoured guest. At the heart of his teaching philosophy is love—a fundamental element that nurtures all learning and relationships. Even on challenging days, he sees determination in every child’s efforts, whether they’re taking giant leaps or small baby steps. He celebrates their attempts and progress, recognizing that they are all on their own unique journeys of wonder and discovery.

Originally from the USA, Mr. Russell moved to Hong Kong in 2010, where he has been immersed in early childhood education ever since. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Film, which has enriched his creative approach to teaching. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Hong Kong Baptist University.

Mr. Russell is passionate about the Reggio Emilia approach and is a strong advocate for the RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) philosophy, inspired by the teachings of Magda Gerber. To continually enhance his skills and knowledge, he actively participates in professional development opportunities, including his recent involvement with the Educator’s Neighbourhood at the Fred Rogers Institute.

Mr. Russell looks forward to fostering a nurturing and engaging environment at Malvern Pre-School, where children can thrive and feel valued. He is excited to embark on this journey together with all families!

Agnes Chow

Ms. Agnes Chow was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Canada. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto and a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
With over ten years of experience in kindergarten and playgroup teaching, Agnes is very familiar with the British EYFS curriculum. Agnes feels particularly passionate about teaching children from different cultural backgrounds.
Agnes enjoys spending time with her young family, travelling, nature and music.

Leisa

At the heart of her teaching is a deep respect for each child; this respect shapes every interaction and learning experience in her classroom. She believes in recognizing the determination behind every child’s effort, whether they are making big leaps or taking small, steady steps. Every child follows a unique path of discovery. By celebrating every attempt and accepting them as “whole” individuals, she can strengthen their confidence and nurture their natural curiosity. She truly believes that by working closely with families and the wider community, together they open the doors for a new generation Originally from the UK and raised in New Zealand, she first moved to Hong Kong in 2012 to pursue a career in fitness. After a period in Australia to be close to family, she realized her true passion lay in supporting children’s developmental milestones. Since returning to Hong Kong in 2019, she has been dedicated to putting this passion into practice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Management Communication, and an International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE).Outside of school, she frequently participates in fitness and sport. She also enjoys going to the theatre, attending musical events, and taking part in volunteer work.

Rehana

Ms. Rehana is a registered Kindergarten teacher with extensive experience teaching the British EYFS curriculum. She has taught in several kindergartens throughout Hong Kong for the past eight years and believes that building strong relationships with children is key. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending lots of time with her young daughter. She also loves to travel, to visit new places and especially, to explore the nature there.
