Malvern College Hong Kong draws upon the rich heritage and ethos of Malvern College UK, a co-educational day and boarding school founded in 1865. Together with its associated preparatory school, The Downs Malvern, Malvern College provides high quality education for boys and girls from 3 to 18 years old. Owing to its academic rigour, scientific heritage and the pursuit of holistic education, Malvern College UK has acquired an enviable reputation for being one of the most established IB schools in the UK and comfortably surpasses the world average diploma results in all subject areas.

In September 2012, Malvern College established its first overseas campus, Malvern College Qingdao, followed by Malvern College Chengdu in September 2015. Malvern College Egypt opened in August 2016.

Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong (Coronation Circle) welcomed its first pupils in August 2017, and Malvern College Hong Kong opened its doors in August 2018. The newest members of the family, Malvern College Pre-School Hong Kong (Island West) and Malvern College Chengdu Xinjin Campus started to operate in August and September 2019 respectively.
